Notes for Arianna Maud Binning
Obituary for Arianna Maud Binning from the Woodville Republican, dated May 15, 1880:
One the 16th ult., in her 25th year, Mr. Annie M., wife of Wiley Morgan. Her death was unexpected and took all by surprise. She was for months in fine health and spirits. She was taken sick on April 13thth and died april 16th. All that the doctor could do was done to save her life. Kind friends waited upon her and administered to her night and day to save her, but Providence decreed otherwise. Early next day, after she was taken sick, she called her little children around her, kissed tham and told them that would be the last time. Oh, what a sad fate for one so young to die and leave four young children, all girls to the cares of a wicked world. She was a good wife and a kind mother, and her four little infant babies will miss her kind and gentle treatment. Before she became unconscious she fervently prayed to the Almighty to forgive her sins; and it is hoped that she died a christian, and that she has gone home to Heaven. We pray that it may be so." Her marker at her grave reads, "Farewell dear husband until we meet again".
